I am a member of the Florence Bar Association, researcher at the Centre for a Digital Society of the European University Institute and contract professor in IP and competition law at the University of Florence. My legal expertise ranges from the intersections between innovation, antitrust law and intellectual property rights to data governance and digital market regulation.
Previously, I worked for the technology transfer offices of the University of Florence and the Tuscan Region. Between 2017-2020, I participated as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie researcher in the joint European doctorate EIPIN – Innovation Society at Max-Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich.
In 2023, under the supervision of Prof. Josef Drexl, I defended my PhD thesis titled “Patent Aggregation, Innovation and EU Competition Law” before the universities of Augsburg and Maastricht jointly, obtaining the highest academic distinctions. In 2018, I received a second-level master’s degree in “Internet Ecosystem” from the University of Pisa, with a first-class dissertation on credit data in the EU, taking advantage of a research grant at the Bank of Italy. In 2016, I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florence with a dissertation on standard-essential patents and competition law, supervisor Prof. Lorenzo Stanghellini, that won the Elena Messina Dissertation Prize.
I work in Italian and English and understand French.
